开展海洋调查、监测及评价新技术、新方法研究。开展海洋生态灾害监测与评估技术研究。承担海洋生态环境、海域生态预警监测工作。

近年来，先后承担了国家自然科学青年基金、山东省自然科学基金、山东省科技发展计划等项目。在国内外学术期刊上发表研究论文50余篇，出版专著10余部，制定标准10余项，获专利和软著20余项。获得海洋科学技术二等奖、山东省自然资源科学技术一、二等奖、全国渔业生态环境监测成果奖、山东省海洋与渔业科学技术二等奖、烟台市科学技术奖、烟台市创新驱动发展奖等十余项奖励。

Marine Environmental Research Center is mainly engaged in researching new technologies and methods for marine survey, monitoring and evaluation, researching marine ecological disaster monitoring and assessment, and conducting marine ecological early warning monitoring and marine ecological environment monitoring.

In recent years, the center has undertaken a number of projects, such as the National Natural Science Fund for Youth, the Natural Science Fund of Shandong Province, and the Science and Technology Development Plan of Shandong Province, etc. It has accomplished sufficient prominent achievements, including more than 50 research papers in domestic and foreign academic journals, 10 monographs, 10 standards, and more than 20 patents, and has won more than ten awards such as the Second Prize of Marine Science and Technology in 2020, the First Prize and Second Prize of Shandong Provincial Natural Resources Science and Technology, the National Fishery Ecological Environment Monitoring Achievement Award, the Second Prize of Shandong Province Marine and Fishery Science and Technology, the Second Prize of Yantai Science and Technology Award , and Yantai Innovation-Driven Development Award, etc.
